Collaborations
Mexico Solidarity Network and their Centro Autónomo (Albany Park Autonomous Center) have
been an inspiration to DESGUA for many years. Over the past years MSN has collaborated
with DESGUA coordinating speaking tour talks in the Chicago area, hosting us to speak at their
center, and by providing space for DESGUA board meetings. Since 2012, MSN has served as
DESGUA´s fiscal sponsor in the US, a support that we are immensely grateful for.
Biography
The Mexico-US Solidarity Network organizes for fundamental social change grounded in
democracy, economic justice, human rights and redistribution of power on both sides of the US-
Mexico border.
The central work of the Mexico-US Solidarity Network is in impoverished and exploited
communities on both sides of the Mexico-US border. In Chicago, the Albany Park Autonomous
Center is building strong community through innovative education and organizing processes
directed by immigrants. In Mexico, the Network works in solidarity with communities
struggling for housing, land, democracy and human rights.
