The People’s Autonomous University of the Arts (PAUoA) is DESGUA’s project to connect teachers with students, history to the future, as we find many well learned people without degrees, and many well degreed people without a job. Among our migrant families and international allies alone, we have opportunities to learn Mayan agriculture, astronomy, architecture, epigraphy, mayan languages spoken today.
As fancy as that sounds, we believe in making space to learn practical things as well.
Whether it be learning to make Cafe Red’s Sandinista Burrito, or deciphering Mayan Codices,
UAPA is a space to create new learning experiences, as we decolonize learning.
